Get to Know Me

Hi, I'm Emily! I use she/her pronouns. I’m an Associate Clinical Social Worker and a queer woman passionate about helping others find healing, growth, and authenticity in their lives. I received my Master of Social Work degree from California Baptist University and my Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Irvine.

My own journey of personal healing and growth has taught me the importance of compassion, curiosity, and genuine connection. I know that discovering and accepting yourself is not easy, and I deeply value creating a space where you feel safe to do so.

My Approach

& our therapy together

Therapy with me is collaborative and personalized. I mainly use parts work, while also drawing from other approaches to fit what works best for you. I believe there’s no one-size-fits-all way to heal — together, we’ll find the pace and tools that feel right for you.

I practice at Eliza Steel Psychotherapy and am supervised by Brooke Knaack LMFT 84862

Whether you are exploring who you are, moving through life transitions, or learning how to manage big emotions and experiences, my approach is trauma-informed, and I understand that healing takes safety, trust, and compassion.

I support clients working through a range of challenges, including personality disorders, depression, anxiety, and addiction. Whether you’re untangling old patterns or trying to feel more grounded in yourself, I aim to create a space where you can show up as you are — and feel truly seen in the process.

Services

I offer in-person and virtual individual therapy for individuals across the lifespan, and for families seeking support, healing, and growth. I primarily use parts work and draw from other therapeutic approaches to best fit each person’s unique needs and goals. I used a trauma-informed approach, and I value your experience far more than your diagnosis. Every client’s journey is different, and our work together is meaningful. I prioritize providing a safe, affirming, and competent space for women and queer folks, where all parts of you are respected and cared for.
